Supplementary Data

Two sets of microarray array experiments were done in this study. In each experiment, gene expression in resting and activated T cells from healthy controls and SCID patients was compared.

Figure 4
For Figure 4, T cells of healthy controls and SCID patients were left unstimulated or stimulated with PMA and ionomycin for 3h and gene expression patterns assessed with DNA microarrays. Figure 4 of Feske et al. (Nature Immunology, 2001, 2:pp...) contains genes that showed at least 3-fold induction or repression in one of the two cell populations (patient or control) following stimulation with PMA and ionomycin (3h) (ratio 1), and at least 4-fold difference in induction/ repression ratio in patient relative to control T cells (ratio 2). Here you will find an expanded list of genes expressed with at least two-fold difference for both ratio 1 and ratio 2.

Figure 6
For Figure 6, CD8+ T cells of healthy controls and SCID patients were left unstimulated or stimulated with PMA and ionomycin for 3h. In addition, a subset of control T cells was preincubated with cyclosporin A (CsA) for 30min prior to stimulation. Figure 6 of Feske et al. (Nature Immunology, 2001, 2:pp...) contains genes that showed 4-fold increase or decrease in inducible gene expression in the control or patient T cells as compared to resting levels or a 4-fold difference in inducible expression between control and patient T cells. Here you will find an expanded list of genes expressed with at least two-fold difference in unstimulated vs. stimulated and control vs. patient T cells, respectively.
